The Problem with 'AI Strategy'
I've sat in dozens of boardrooms over the last year. Every single one had a slide titled 'AI Strategy.' Most were a list of tools they'd heard of, a vague timeline, and a budget that looked like a wish list.
Here's the thing: AI isn't a strategy. It's infrastructure. You don't have an 'electricity strategy.' You have a business that runs on electricity.
What Actually Works
The companies I've seen get real results don't start with 'which AI tool should we buy?' They start with 'what's our most expensive repeatable process?'
The best AI implementations are boring. They automate the thing nobody wants to do, and they do it at 2am without complaining.
I've deployed agents that handle email triage, contract review, and operational reporting. None of them are sexy. All of them save tens of thousands a year.
Start Here
If you're serious about AI in your business, forget the strategy deck. Instead:
- List your top 10 most time-consuming processes
- Identify which ones follow predictable patterns
- Build one agent that handles the worst offender
- Measure the result after 30 days
That's it. That's the strategy.
