What makes it work

  • 24 working tools, no stubs
  • Typed chaining — merge keywords, classify intent, write ad copy, tag UTMs, export
  • Every tool opens with a working example already in it

The prompt that built it

Free — no membership needed
Build **Bench**, a suite of 24 free marketing and SEO utilities in one application, where the output of any tool can be piped directly into the next. This is a complete, production-quality full-stack application — build every tool and every feature described below. Do not stub anything. Do not build "a few examples" — build all 24.

APP IDENTITY
App name: Bench. Tagline: "24 marketing tools. One page. No signup. They plug into each other."
Icon: a workbench silhouette with three tools hanging above it, white on deep slate, flat, readable at 64px.

THE CORE EXPERIENCE
A visitor lands on a grid of 24 tools. They click "Merge Words", paste three lists, and instantly get every combination. Then — and this is the part no other free tool suite does — they hit "Send to →" and pipe those 4,000 keywords straight into the Intent Classifier, then into the Ad Copy Generator, then into the Bulk UTM Builder, and export the lot as a CSV. No login at any point. The chaining is the product.

THE 24 TOOLS — build every one of these properly

KEYWORD AND SEO
1. Merge Words — combine two or three lists of words into every permutation. Options: separator (space, hyphen, none, plus), optional prefix and suffix, preserve or force case, deduplicate, sort, and a live count. Handles 10,000+ output rows without freezing the browser.
2. Keyword Intent Classifier — AI. Takes a keyword list, returns each keyword tagged informational, commercial, transactional or navigational, with a confidence score.
3. Slug Generator — text to clean URL slug. Transliterates accents, strips stop words optionally, enforces a max length, handles bulk input.
4. Meta Title and Description Writer — AI. Generates options within Google's pixel limits, with a live SERP snippet preview showing pixel width, not character count.
5. Schema Markup Generator — produces valid JSON-LD for Article, Product, FAQ, LocalBusiness, Event and BreadcrumbList from a form. Validates before output.
6. Keyword Grouper — clusters a keyword list into ad groups by shared stem and intent, using code for the stemming and AI only for naming each cluster.

CAMPAIGN AND LINKS
7. UTM Builder — single link, with saved presets for source, medium and campaign naming conventions, and a validation warning on inconsistent casing.
8. Bulk UTM Builder — upload a CSV of links and parameters, get a fully tagged CSV back.
9. QR Code Generator — any URL or text, with size, error-correction level, and PNG or SVG download.
10. Redirect Chain Checker — enter a URL, see every hop, status code and final destination. Flags chains over two hops and any 302 that should be a 301.

COPY
11. Headline Analyser — AI. Scores a headline on clarity, specificity, emotional pull and length, then generates eight alternatives across different angles.
12. Ad Copy Generator — AI. Writes Google Ads headlines and descriptions to exact character limits (30 and 90), with a live counter that goes red on overflow. Generates 15 headlines and 4 descriptions per run.
13. Subject Line Tester — AI. Scores an email subject line, flags spam-trigger words against a maintained list, shows mobile and desktop truncation points, and generates variants.
14. Tone Rewriter — AI. Rewrites any text into a chosen register: plain, formal, punchy, warm, technical, or British-plain. Shows a diff against the original.

DATA AND FORMAT
15. CSV Cleaner — deduplicate rows, trim whitespace, split or merge columns, find and replace, drop empty rows. Preview before download.
16. JSON to CSV and CSV to JSON — bidirectional, handles nested objects with dot-notation flattening.
17. Text Cleaner — strips smart quotes, em-dashes, non-breaking spaces, zero-width characters and double spaces. Case converter: upper, lower, title, sentence, camel, kebab, snake.
18. Character and Pixel Counter — live counts against the real limits for X, LinkedIn, Google Ads, meta titles, meta descriptions, email subject lines and Instagram captions, all shown at once.

CALCULATORS
19. ROAS, CAC and LTV Calculator — enter spend, revenue, customers and retention; get ROAS, CAC, LTV, LTV:CAC ratio and payback period, with a plain-English read on whether the numbers are healthy.
20. A/B Test Significance Calculator — enter visitors and conversions for two variants; get the lift, p-value, confidence level and required sample size for the observed effect. Shows the honest answer when a test has not run long enough.
21. Budget Pacing Calculator — enter monthly budget, days elapsed and spend to date; get pace, projected end-of-month spend, and the daily budget needed to land on target.
22. Margin and Break-Even Calculator — cost, price, fixed costs; returns gross margin, markup, break-even units and break-even revenue.

DESIGN AND ASSET
23. Palette Extractor — upload an image, get the dominant colours as hex, RGB and HSL, with a WCAG contrast check on every pair.
24. Social Card Generator — enter a title, subtitle and style; generates a 1200x630 Open Graph image, downloadable as PNG.

THE CHAINING SYSTEM — this is the differentiator, build it first
Every tool declares an output type (keyword_list, url_list, text, table, image, numbers). Every tool declares which input types it accepts. Any tool whose result matches another tool's accepted input shows a "Send to →" menu listing only the valid destinations. Piping carries the data across without a round trip through the clipboard.
A visible Chain bar at the top of the screen shows the current pipeline (Merge Words → Intent Classifier → Ad Copy) and lets the user re-run the whole chain with new input in one click. Chains can be saved and shared by link.

ENTITIES — create all nine with these exact fields
Tool: slug, name, category, description, input_types (array), output_types (array), uses_ai (boolean), runs_server_side (boolean), usage_count (integer), is_featured (boolean)
Run: id, tool_slug, user_email (nullable), input_summary, output_summary, row_count, duration_ms, chained_from_run_id (nullable), created_at
Chain: id, name, owner_email (nullable), tool_slugs (array), share_token, config_json, times_run (integer), is_public (boolean)
Workspace: id, owner_email, name, saved_runs (array), file_uri (private, nullable), updated_at
Preset: id, owner_email, tool_slug, name, config_json, is_shared (boolean)

INTEGRATIONS — use every one of these Base44 Core integrations, each for a real purpose
InvokeLLM — powers tools 2, 4, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14, each with a strict response_json_schema so the UI never parses free text. Also powers a natural-language tool router on the home page: a visitor types "I need to tag 200 links for a Facebook campaign" and it opens the Bulk UTM Builder pre-configured. Use add_context_from_internet set to true only in the Meta Title Writer, so it can check what currently ranks for the target term.
ExtractDataFromUploadedFile — the input path for Bulk UTM Builder, CSV Cleaner, Keyword Grouper and Palette Extractor. Accepts CSV, PDF, PNG, JPG and JPEG. A user can upload a PDF keyword research doc and get a usable list out of it.
GenerateImage — the Social Card Generator (tool 24), and generates the icon for each of the 24 tools at build time in one consistent flat style so the grid looks designed rather than assembled.
UploadPrivateFile and CreateFileSignedUrl — uploaded source files and saved workspace exports live in private storage and are shared only via time-limited signed URL. A marketer's keyword list is competitive information; treat it that way.
UploadFile — public storage for generated social cards and tool icons only.
SendEmail — email any export to yourself, and deliver scheduled report results.

BACKEND FUNCTIONS — create these three as Deno serverless functions
run_tool — executes any server-side tool. Merge Words above 5,000 combinations, all AI tools, the redirect checker and all bulk operations run here, never in the browser.
run_chain — executes a saved chain end to end, passing typed output to typed input, and fails gracefully at the step that broke rather than losing the whole run.
build_export — produces CSV, JSON, TXT, PNG or SVG from any run.

AUTOMATIONS — create these three
Weekly: execute active ScheduledReports and email the results. Every ScheduledReport must have an end_after date — the form does not submit without one, and a report past its end date deactivates itself automatically.
Daily: recompute featured tools by usage_count over the last seven days.
Monthly: purge Upload records and their private files older than 30 days, and email owners the week before a purge.

AI AGENT
Build an in-app chat agent called "The Foreman" with read access to the Tool catalogue and the user's own Runs and Chains. The user describes what they are trying to achieve in plain English and it names the tool or the chain of tools that gets them there, then opens the first one pre-filled. It must recommend from the actual 24 tools and never invent a tool that does not exist.

SCREENS
Bench (home) — the grid of 24 tools in six category rows, each card showing its icon, name, one-line description and an AI badge where relevant. A single search box filters instantly. The natural-language router sits above the grid.
Tool view — the tool itself, full width, with input on the left and output on the right, the "Send to →" menu on every result, and export buttons. No tool should take more than one click to reach from home.
Chains — saved and public chains as flow cards, each showing its steps and run count, with a one-click run.
Workspace — a signed-in user's saved runs, presets and uploads.
System — see below.

THE SYSTEM PAGE (build this, it is not optional)
A page that renders this application's own architecture live: all 24 tools with their real usage counts, every entity with its record count, all seven Core integrations each with a green or amber status dot and the timestamp it last fired, the three backend functions, the three automations with their next scheduled run times, the AI agent, and the RBAC and private-storage rules. Header text: "24 tools. 7 integrations. 9 entities. Built from one prompt."

VISUAL DESIGN
Palette: deep slate #14181D, workbench tan #C8A26A, signal blue #3D8BFD, off-white #F4F5F3, warning amber #E0A33C. A clean grotesque sans throughout, monospace for every output field and every number. Dense and functional — this should feel like a well-organised tool wall, not a marketing site. Zero hero imagery, zero scroll-triggered animation. Tool results appear instantly with no transition; speed is the aesthetic.

SEED DATA
Every tool must work the instant it is opened, pre-filled with a realistic example that demonstrates it — Merge Words pre-loaded with three plausible lists, the ROAS calculator pre-filled with real-looking figures, the headline analyser pre-loaded with a headline. A visitor must never face an empty form. Ship 5 public example chains.

GUARDRAILS
No login for any of the 24 tools. Login only to save a workspace, a preset or a scheduled report.
Anything over 5,000 rows or any AI call runs in a backend function, never client-side. The browser must never freeze.
Every tool that can produce a large result must stream or paginate its output and offer a direct download rather than rendering 10,000 rows into the DOM.
Every AI tool must show its output within a clear generating state and must degrade to a useful message rather than an error if the model returns nothing.
Every calculator computes in code. The LLM never produces a number that is displayed as a result.
Every ScheduledReport carries a mandatory end date.
Reject unsupported upload types with a specific message naming what is accepted.
Fully responsive: on a phone the tool grid is two columns and tool views stack input above output.
UK English throughout the interface copy.

DONE MEANS
All 24 tools work, with no stubs and no "coming soon". I can run Merge Words, pipe the result into the Intent Classifier, pipe that into the Ad Copy Generator, and export the whole thing as a CSV without logging in or touching the clipboard. Every tool opens with a working example already in it. The System page shows 24 tools, 7 integrations and 9 entities, all live.

Recommended model

Strongest reasoning model available. This spec is long and weak models quietly ship 6 of the 24 tools as stubs.

How it gets made

Nine parts, in the same order, every time.

Every build on this site comes out of the same structure, whether it is a game, a ledger or a suite of tools. The method is published in full, and so are the prompts I am allowed to publish.
